Live article view opens in incorrect language from dashboard

I am experiencing an issue when viewing a live article from the dashboard.

When I am on an article in English, publish it, and then click to view the live article, a new tab opens displaying the article in French instead of English.

I suspect this happens because my default language is French, but I expect the live view to open in the language of the article I just published and clicked to view. I then have to manually change the language in the live view.

This appears to be a bug that needs to be fixed.
